Cooking class Cusco
This morning at 10 am, our Cusco visit starts with the San Pedro market, it is a vibrant spot in a very busy área town that can keep you entertained for hours. Here you can have a first-hand look at how locals live day-today outside the confines of Cusco’s tourist zones. By observing the scenes you can hear the language as it is spoken and properly pronounced, view the gesture and habits that are common to the Andean culture, smell the scents of local produce and flora, absorb the styles and textures of the local fashion, see the fruits, vegetables and meats that make up the main staples of traditional meals.
Then, at 1 pm, your tour guide is gonna walk you to Marcelo Batata, to start with your full inmersión cooking class, the cooking class it is 3 hours, on this experience you will engage in six step courses, including topics such as the history of Peruvian gastronomy, concepts of the kitchen, tropical fruits and Andean super food tasting, Pisco tasting, Pisco Sour and Chilcano de Pisco preparation and finally the preparing and the cooking of two of Peru’s most remarkable dishes: Ceviche and Lomo Saltado with Alpaca.
