Humantay Lake Tour 1 Day

A day trip to Humantay Lake is one of those experiences that stays with you long after you leave. The color of the water is unreal — a bright turquoise lake sitting right below snow-covered mountains in the middle of the Andes.

We leave Cusco early in the morning and drive through small Andean towns and wide valleys surrounded by huge peaks. It’s a calm and beautiful ride, and little by little you start to feel the fresh mountain air and the change in scenery.

From the starting point, we hike up to the lake. The trail is a bit challenging because of the altitude, but it’s manageable at your own pace. The climb is short, and every step gets you closer to something truly special.

When you finally reach the top and see Humantay Lake in front of you, it’s simply impressive. The contrast between the bright blue water and the white glacier behind it is something you won’t forget. It’s quiet, peaceful, and perfect for photos — or just taking a moment to enjoy where you are.

At Bigfoot Machu Picchu, we focus on making the experience smooth and enjoyable. You just come ready to walk, breathe, and enjoy one of the most beautiful spots in the Peruvian Andes.
