Our terms and conditions apply to our trekking programs and traditional tours around Cusco.
BIGFOOT MACHU PICCHU RESPONSIBILITIES
Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel, including its employees, and management, operates hiking tours and traditional tours in Cusco. We do take all reasonable steps to ensure that the organization of your tour or trek maintains a high-quality service.
BOOKING POLICY
On our website we have different trekking and traditional programs around Cusco. Once you have picked the program of your preference, please make sure to read the following terms and conditions as your reservation is subject to this. Right after making your reservation with a prepayment through our website a file is entered in our reservation system Bigfoot Machu Picchu travel receives your deposit and we accept and confirm the reservation. Please note that the organization of your trip is not confirmed until stated so in writing via email by Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
We require a pre-payment of USD $150 or USD $200 per person for any of our trekking or traditional programs, when proceeding with your booking through our website. In case you are booking the Inca Trail your initial deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation by the traveler, this by nature of the Inca trail permits regulated by the Peruvian Government.
The non-refundable deposit covers expenses needed to secure the Inca trail permit and Train tickets.
Payments or deposits must be made directly by our website by pressing the bottom book now, once you submit your payment, we will send you an email confirming the type of trek or tour for the date booked. Please note there is an additional fee for using our online payment platform.
CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATIONS BY BIGBOOT MACHU PICCHU TRAVEL
We reserve the right to cancel or modify a program in case of the mentioned circumstances highlighted below.
- Travelers’ failure to pay the remaining balance on the due date.
- If the Traveler’s safety or comfort is put at stake or jeopardized due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Force majeure: impossibility to operate the program due to outside Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel control, like strikes, riots weather conditions, landslides, Government interventions, acts of God, flood, tempest, earthquakes, treat of war, civil disturbance, quarantine, epidemic or any sort beyond the reasonable control of Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel.
Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel will make every effort to reschedule or modify travel arrangements to not alter the nature of the trip, nevertheless any changes may require a supplemental payment from you.
If any of the circumstances listed above occur during the trip, we reserve the right to alter the scheduled itinerary accordingly and no compensation will be paid.
CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVELER
In case of cancellation by the traveler, this must be notified to Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel in writing. Such a notification will only be deemed to have been given on receipt of your email, since we can only act of receipt, cancellations received on Saturday for programs departures on weekend (Sunday) will be addressed as day of departure cancellation. However, at Bigfoot Machu Picchu we will act in the most decent way possible and refund or reschedule if this is still possible.
SURCHARGES
All our pricing treks and tours are quoted in U.S Dollars. Since our trips are planned weeks months in advance, they may be subject to variations as we may face significant cost increases due to factors over which we have no control, therefore we reserve the right to amend program prices due to extraordinary circumstances beyond our control. Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel will explain and justify any surcharges before implementation. Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel also reserves the right to adjust if a particular rate or inclusions was incorrectly stated.
ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel offers adventure and traditional tours, the adventure programs have got a certain exposure to the true nature of the environment visited, this exposure may incur in Physical or emotional injury, the client understands that such a risk cannot be eliminated without missing the essential qualities of the activity and therefore assumes then as part of the program or tour.
The traveler accepts that she/he is conscious of their physical health conditions and that under the knowledge of this she/he decides to undertake the above-mentioned risks. The traveler excludes Bigfoot Machu Picchu Travel from any responsibility linked to any accident or injury that may happen to the traveler’s health, physical condition or other.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
Many of the programs and tours in Peru require to book Inca trail permit or Machu Picchu permit in advance, therefore we need each traveler to provide Bigfoot Machu Picchu travel with complete and accurate personal information, when making the booking, details as, Full Names, Nationality, Passport number, date of birth among others. In case the information provided by the traveler is not correct Bigfoot Machu Picchu travel will not be liable.
COMPLAINTS & CLAIMS
If the traveler is not satisfied with the service provided by Big Machu Picchu Travel during the trip or within 7 Days after ending with the tour, the traveler must notify us by email or to our whatsapp number to rectify the matter.
AUTHORITY IN TOURS
During the trip or tour the decision of the agency’s guide or representative will be final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well-being of the group. The traveler must always strictly comply with the laws, customs required protocols, and foreign exchange and drug regulations of Peru. Should the traveler fail to comply with the above, or should the client interfere with the well-being of the other travelers, a guide or agency representative may order the traveler to leave the tour without recourse to any refund.
