Full Day

We pick you up from your hotel and travel to the Adventure Center at Km 84 on the Urubamba–Ollantaytambo road. The center has private river access, restrooms, changing rooms and showers.

Your guide explains river safety before approximately two hours of rafting along the Urubamba River, surrounded by Andean mountains and ancient Inca terraces. No prior rafting experience is required for this beginner-friendly experience.

Enjoy Pachamanca, an Andean cooking technique using stones heated over a wood fire. Ingredients are arranged underground and covered with herbs, leaves and earth; after approximately 45 minutes, the meal is uncovered. Lunch may include potatoes, corn, beans, lamb and alpaca with salads and sauces.

Visit the Inca terraces, temples and stone structures with your guide, enjoy views across the valley and walk through the narrow streets of the present-day town, where much of the original Inca urban layout remains.
