Health & Physical Requirements

  • This hike is not suitable for people with heart conditions or serious medical issues.
  • Not recommended for travelers over 60 years old.
  • Pregnant women should not participate.
  • Minimum age: 8 years old.

Small Group Experience

In Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, you may find very low-priced tours. However, cheaper options often mean large groups of 25–35 people with only one guide.

We focus on quality over quantity, operating with small groups (minimum 2 – maximum 8 travelers) to provide better attention, safety, and overall experience.

Our Recommendations

  • Spend at least two days in Cusco before the hike to properly acclimatize.
  • Bring at least 2 liters of water per person.
  • Rest well the night before and avoid alcohol.
  • If you feel symptoms of altitude sickness, descend immediately and inform your guide.
  • If you visit Machu Picchu the day before, make sure your return train allows you to rest properly before the hike.

Simple Hiking Tips

Take It SlowWalk at a steady pace. Altitude affects everyone differently.
